A homeless man witnessed an awful accident involving a little puppy and a car one day. Fortunately, he lived.
Because the dog couldn’t move all of its hind legs, the man grabbed him up and carried him all the way to the nearest veterinarian.
The veterinarian requested aid from the local animal shelter.
The Animal Rescue Fund (ARF) received a call from the vet asking whether they could care for Howard, the injured pit bull. ARF graciously accepted the request and looked after him. They started looking into its injuries…
He has a back injury and a broken leg, and he will be in the hospital for a long time.
Howard was also nice and peaceful, so he should have had no trouble finding the perfect home after his therapy.
Unfortunately, Howard was no longer able to move his hind legs.
He was then transferred to 3 Dogs Rescue, an ARF partner in the north. They fitted him with a new wheelchair, which he uses to get around the yard.
Despite the fact that he couldn’t run like other dogs, he was glad to be given a second chance at life. He was cared for by a foster family.
Howard has finally been adopted thanks to everyone’s generosity.
This cheery puppy had been through a lot, but thanks to all of the care he received from good people, he was finally able to live the life he deserved.
