Unfortunately, they only learned how great the bond between these two very different animals was when it came time to sell the cow.
This family adopted Rookie the pup, since he was a baby. The people always loved and cared for him, but one of the family’s cows took on the role of mom for the little puppy.
The sensitive puppy got all the comfort he needed from his adoptive mother, and the cow reared and cared for him as if he were his own child. Rookie was naturally devastated when the cow was loaded into a truck and ready to be sold.
When he learned his dearest companion was no longer with him, the sorrowful dog could scarcely hold back his tears while howling and sobbing. He even chased the truck for a long, disregarding the owner’s calls, and the man ultimately caught up with him and brought him back. But the poor Rookie was in so much pain…
Suddenly, all of his vitality vanished, and he refused to eat or drink water. He was heartbroken!
As he saw his dog fade, the owner felt he had to do something, so he tried everything he could to soothe Rookie, but his efforts were futile. It was then that he understood there was only one thing that could restore the tiny doggy back to happiness — bringing his very closest friend back.
As a result, the man returned the cow the next morning since all he wanted was to make his beloved puppy joyful! Check out the video below!
