When Lisa and Rusty Hanafin’s backyard was blanketed in 3 feet of snow after a major snowstorm, the couple’s two puppies had the fun of their lives experiencing the cold stuff for the first time. The eight-month-old Harry Winston and Louis Vuitton were preparing for their morning ritual when they noticed their playground looked drastically different.
The Hanafins had no clue how their pups would react when they saw snow for the first time, so they decided to film the event. The 2 puppies are anxiously waiting in front of the door as Rusty, 60, prepares to leave them out. When their father opens it, they simply jump into the avalanche of snow, and their moment will melt your heart.
“It was great watching them play in the snow,” Lisa, 54, told MailOnline. “It was fantastic when they got out and it was dropping and they were staring up attempting to capture it in their mouths.” Harry and Louis couldn’t get enough of the snow and wanted to stay outside for as long as they could to enjoy the large fluffy pillow.
Their mother says that it required a “bag of hotdogs” to convince them to come in.
“It was almost like white quicksand and as quickly as they realized the snow wasn’t going to injure them, it was the best experience,” Rusty, who was amused by his pups’ joy, said. They were having a terrific time out there.”
