A labrador with a fractured back was mentioned to us… The owners chained him up beside the vet clinic and then abandoned him.
We rush to get there for him. This dog was hit by a car around a year ago, we were told.
Her owners anticipated him to recover without veterinary assistance, but a year later, the dog still hasn’t recovered… he can’t walk, and he has urinary incontinence.
The owner had had enough of caring for him and brought him to the clinic for euthanasia. After the vet declined to euthanize the dog, the owner simply abandoned it near the clinic.
His name is lucky…but this name didn’t bring him luck, so we changed it. We named him Alex, and he begins a new life today.
We arrived at the veterinarian’s office for a check-up.
The vet stated that if Alex had received medical treatment immediately following his accident, he would be able to walk on his own now, but because too much time has gone by, he can only walk in a wheelchair.
Alex has a bladder infection, skin problems, and is in bad health.
He requires extra attention… He remains at the clinic to receive the necessary medical attention.
He is better now, three weeks later.
Today is a special day for him. He’s running for the first time since his injury… Lada is his new pal.
He is overjoyed and relishes every moment of his new existence.
And now it’s time for his first walk. Alex is quite lively, and his favorite toy is a ball.
We’re glad we were able to save Alex and transform his life.
