Svetlana, Degan’s mom from Serbia, adored pets.
For far more than twenty years, mom and son have found great homes for hundreds of fluffies.
Svetlana’s major goal in life was to help animals.
A woman’s dream was achieved by her son. The man now owns a dog shelter.
Initially, mother and son did little more than feeding stray dogs in their hometown of Cumic. This campaign was supported by the residents of the area.
Svetlana and Degan’s notoriety developed over time.
People rallied around them, providing food and funds. As a result, feeding animals evolved into a genuine homeless rescue.
The family was able to create their own shelter in 1997.
Svetlana died after several years. Degan, on the other hand, did not give up and pursued their mutual cause.
The guy had to work by himself, which was difficult.
He did it, though, and the shelter is still open.
Degan bought land in the Gledic Mountains in 2014 and erected a wolf shelter there.
These creatures are Serbia’s national animals, although they are in grave danger due to poachers.
Degan refuses to give up despite the fact that keeping so many pets for more than 20 years is extremely challenging.
Donations from loving individuals and the efforts of volunteers assist him.
