For the very first time in the country’s history, a pup named Baekgu got a lifeguard award in South Korea.
He saved his 90-year-old owner from hypothermia.
On August 25, the lady and her dog vanished.
Surveillance cameras around her home captured this.
The 90-year-old owner of Baekgu suffers from dementia, thus her abduction has terrified her relatives.
The police quickly began their search for the woman, which lasted around 40 hours.
She was discovered in the midst of a rice field two kilometers away from her home.
The woman became saturated in the rain, causing her garments to become heavy, and she was unable to get up.
It was terribly cold outside, so Baekgu, who did not abandon his owner, kept her warm.
The lady was taken to the hospital, and the pup was recognized for his bravery and loyalty.
According to the owner’s daughter, Baekgu first appeared in their home three years ago, when they adopted him as a pup after being assaulted by a larger dog.
“Baekgu was extremely fond of my mother, and it’s as if he was thanking us. I was anxious since my mother had been missing for several hours in the rain. Baekgu has helped me a lot. “He is a member of our family,” she explained.
