A simple gesture can mean the world to someone in desperate need of assistance. Perhaps this is why random acts of compassion elicit such strong emotions. A heartwarming scene of a decent man assisting a poor stray puppy in such a loving manner recently went popular on the Internet.
Felipe was in a subway station in So Paulo, Brazil, with his brother Fernando Gabriel when he noticed the freezing stray dog resting alone next to a wall. While Gabriel was waiting to buy tickets, his brother’s heroic gestures moved everyone in the room to tears. The young man approached the freezing pup, removed his shirt, and offered it to the dog. Gabriel witnessed the entire incident and recorded it on his cell phone.․․
“It was the coldest day of the year, and I began recording when I observed my brother pulling his rucksack off his back.”
Gabriel informed THE DODO. “He removed his jacket, and sweatshirt, and put his shirt on the puppy, who was freezing.” He did it on his own. It was quite moving.”
Felipe didn’t expect anyone to notice what he did. He did, however, express regret for not doing more for the poor pup. As a result, he and his brother returned after a few hours with the aim of adopting the dog, but he was no longer there.
“There is no way to alter the world — but you can change the things that are within your grasp,” Felipe added. What a gentleman!
