Dmitriy Timchenko and a companion were visiting a store in Novorossiysk, Russia, earlier this week when they witnessed a touching scene of dog unity that they will never forget.
A stray dog was seen in the video assisting in the release of a chained-up puppy. He approached the puppy and began to untie the rope, eventually releasing the pit bull.
Even better, the stray dog encouraged his new pal to join him on his escapades. The pit bull was initially hesitant but eventually agreed to accompany the stray.
The stray dog assumed the pit bull had been abandoned, so he worked to release him. However, the dog had been left there for a brief while by his owner, who was shopping inside the store.
When Timchenko and his friend noticed the pit bull preparing to leave with his new mate, they promptly interfered and assisted the pet’s owner in keeping him…
“We walked into the business and used the loudspeaker to summon the owner,” Timchenko explained. “She went out to collect her dog.” The owner never imagines she will lose his canine companion to a random furry passerby.
It had all been a horrible mistake, but no one could deny that the stray dog’s heart was clearly in the right place. “I’ve seen this stray dog around town a lot,” Timchenko explained. “He always crosses the street at the crosswalk.” He’s a really intelligent dog.”
