It’s not every day that you see a cat pursuing a dog. Usually, it’s the other way around. However, the cat in the video below is a little bigger than most. That’s because Salati is a strong leopard with an odd closest friend, rather than a typical cat.
Tommy is a cute Golden Retriever, and the two vastly distinct creatures enjoy nothing more than chasing and playing with one other before settling down for a loving snuggle. They originally met at South Africa’s Glen Afric Country Lodge and have been inseparable ever since.
Salati was a cub when he arrived at the center. Since she sadly lost her mother, the poor thing has sought solace in the most gentle and compassionate spirit she could find – a dog. Tommy took the befuddled orphaned cub under his wing and quickly offered her love and protection.
Salati and Tommy are still playing like two little kids, despite the fact that the formerly little cub grew into a giant wild cat. “Wherever you see one, the other is close by.” Salati’s caretaker, Richard Brooker, stated.
“Because they are inseparable and both have a huge amount of energy, they get the exercise they both require together.” It’s all in good humor, and they enjoy playing together.”
