When a desperate man gets reunited with his long-lost pup after three years, it’s a beautiful moment. The pup had been living on the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia, for the entire time that his owner, Giorgi Berejiani, was desperately trying to locate him. It took longer than anyone could have predicted, yet the heartbroken man never gave up hope.
Giorgi’s heart broke when he learned that his beloved dog, Jorge, had died. The man, distraught, searched him closely. He sought help from family and friends, as well as a local shelter, but the charming Jorge was nowhere to be seen.
Days turned into months, and months turned into years, with no sign of Jorge. The extraordinary bond between the puppy and Giorgi, on the other hand, was never broken. Even though his heart was broken, Giorgi never gave up. He kept looking for him, believing that one day he’d be able to hug him again.
After three difficult years, a phone call would change everything. “We sought for 3 years,” the man explained to THE DODO. “And then we found him.”
A local business owner named Giorgi contacted him and informed him that a dog similar to Jorge was lying in front of his shop. The owner could not really believe it, but as nothing was certain, he went there immediately away to see for himself.
