A business let a street dog inside on a 104-degree day and offered him water and cookies.
Stray animals have a difficult life because they are on their own without a shelter to travel and, in addition to being responsible for finding their own food supplies, they are also subject to all or any weather.
On a warm summer day, the shop opens its doors to allow a stray dog to cool down.
We’ve already heard multiple stories about poor pups suffering from cold and kind places that opened their doors for them, but dogs are also susceptible to high temperatures, and on one particularly hot day, one store allowed a dog to urge inside and calm down.
It had been a particularly hot day in Mexico, with temperatures reaching 104°F, and a local street dog paid a visit to a market, where he had previously appeared on several occasions.
“He’s been here for the past several days,” the store employee stated, echoing The Dodo. “We believe he was abandoned by his owner.” He came to us for assistance.”
“We could only buy him food, water, and a few toys from the store with our money.”
On one exceptionally hot day, though, they went a step further and decided to let the dog inside to cool down.
The dog relished the opportunity to get away from the sun. In fact, he was so relaxed that he simply lay down on the aisle floor to take a nap.
“We let him in because the weather outside is essentially horrible,” the clerk explained. “We’re sorry for him, but he seems happier about the store.”
And the clerks’ goodwill was contagious: a client called Adolfo Pazzi Ahumada, who was in the market for milk, decided to buy a treat for the beautiful puppy.
“I felt sorry for what the dog had gone through,” Adolfo told The Dodo. “However, he’s finally getting the affection he deserves.”
