Rosie was found wandering alone on the streets of San Jose, California when she was just two weeks old. She was teeny-tiny and frail-looking. She most certainly hadn’t eaten in a long time and would have died if she hadn’t been discovered. Her rescue brought her to Thoa Bui’s home, where she had previously sheltered several stray animals.
Unfortunately, it appeared that the terrified kitten had already given up on life. Rosie refused to eat no matter what Thoa did. She also wouldn’t do anything half-assed. She wasn’t responding to her foster mother’s attention and care.
That is until Lilo entered the scene…
Thoa had several huskies under her care, including Lilo. And this time, she’s assisting by taking care of herself. The sweet dog simply walked over to the distressed cat and knelt alongside her. She went so far as to nuzzle the young cat with one of her paws.
Rosie began eating a few hours later.
They got inseparable after their first meeting. They’re always next to each other, and when they go to bed at night, they have to be touching.
According to Thoa, the two are constantly together, and Rosie has begun to emulate her surrogate mother’s actions. It’s as if she’s going through some sort of identity crisis. Rosie, like Lilo, would go out to urinate and even insisted on having her own leash when they went on a walk.
Apart from Lilo, the cat has formed bonds with the other dogs and cats in the household. But, at the end of the day, it’s her husky mother who she prefers. They’ve been on countless excursions together for over a year, and their friendship is just becoming stronger. Rosie has finally found her forever family…
