A dog with a twisted face is looking for a forever home. Woody was attacked by another dog when he was just 5 weeks old, according to S.N.A.R.R Animal Rescue Northeast, and was “left to heal on his own with no veterinary assistance.”
After learning that Woody was tethered outside and was abandoned by his adopters, SNARR came to his rescue. Woody was alone for six weeks, surviving on the kindness of his neighbors who fed him until SNARR learned of his situation.

“Woody’s ‘family’ walked out and abandoned him at the residence,” SNARR writes on Facebook. “We were asked to take him to rescue, and we naturally said yes!”
Woody is in good health, despite the fact that his face is uneven. “He just looks different,” his rescuers said, “which doesn’t bother us in the least.” “In fact, it’s what made us fall in love with him even more.”
His rescuers were enamored with him for reasons other than his appearance. They realized right away that the Pit Bull had a big heart.
Woody’s adoptive mother was not thrilled when he arrived at his loving home.
“The first day we had Woody, I was unwell with a fever,” foster parent Jamie Bond told The Dodo. “He could see something wasn’t right, and he never left my side.” On the couch, he spent the entire afternoon cuddling with me. He’s become my shadow, constantly following me about and ensuring my safety. Woody likes to curl up on the bed with his head on my chest.”
