For his bestie who passed away one year ago, the dog keeps his sleeping space unfilled…

If there were any doubts about how loyal dogs are, this incredible story shows it once again. A recent viral tweet demonstrated what absolute, pure love and commitment to a dog is all about!

Caitlin Wyanne, a 17-year-old from Cheshire, England, shared a tragic photo on Twitter. The photo depicts her two dogs, Harry and George, and their wonderful bond. George, a 15-year-old boy, was put down a year ago. Larry, his best dog pal, was heartbroken at the time.

Now, about a year later, Harry is still missing his lifetime partner so profoundly that he remains to sleep in George’s favorite spot. “I’m sobbing uncontrollably.” In a tweet, Caitlin, the owner, said, “He always let George sleep there and he died about a year ago and yet he still lies there.”

George joined the family in 2004, when he was one year old, according to the owner. As a baby, Harry was also brought in, and the two grew up around each other. They’ve been inseparable since the beginning. So I can only imagine how lonely Harry must feel without his best friend. One thing is certain: Harry’s grief for George never ended.

“When George was put to death, we took Harry to the veterinarians with us, and [he] stayed close to him the entire time,” Caitlin told the Mirror. “It’s been almost a year, and he still misses George!” He now frequently sleeps on the floor to the side of the bed, which I didn’t realize until I was looking through images of them both from a year ago.”
