When taking your dog for a walk, you never know what you’ll find, especially if your canine buddy enjoys going on adventures. But wait until you see how this woman is startled by his pet puppy!
Bethany Coleman had had enough of her rescued Rogue and her 2 elderly cats, despite her passion for animals. As a result, she and her partner Tyson have no plans to adopt any more furry children at this moment. But little did they know, they’d be ‘forced’ to do it at some point!
“When my partner recommended buying another dog, I was like, ‘No way,'” Bethany told THE DODO. “We were living in an apartment in Boston’s Beacon Hill, and we already had 2 cats and one dog.” “Nobody in their right mind would rent a place to 2 people, 2 cats, and 2 dogs,” I kept saying if we moved.
However, all of that changed after a casual stroll with the cheery Rogue. While they were out and about in the neighborhood, the friendly dog noticed another dog who looked exactly like her. It was only a minor step from then to adopting the stray dog.
“Another local shelter had a number of dogs for adoption, and one of them looked exactly like Rogue,” the young woman recalled. “I called Tyson and said, ‘I found a puppy I want to save.'”
Rogue didn’t leave Beast – the newly adopted dog’s name -‘s side for anything in the world as soon as she noticed him. But, just to be honest, Bethany fell in love with the 8-month-old stray puppy as well.
“With him, Rogue and I experienced love at first sight,” she explained. “He had the same build as Rogue, the same size (at the time), the same coat… Both of them are cairn [terrier] mixes. We’re frequently asked if they’re brother and sister.”
The two dogs are (clearly) inseparable at this point. They simply do everything together, from eating to sleeping and, of course, causing havoc in their loving parents’ home.
Needless to say, Rogue is certain that Beast is his identical twin brother. After all, they appear to be identical.
