Although many people think of Rottweilers as dangerous dogs, these companion canines are gentle giants. More significantly, as this story reveals, they may also be heroes. All of this came after four Rottweilers rescued a frantic old lady who had spent several hours chasing a ball on an institution’s playing field!
David Malt and his nephew Jack went on a walk with his four dogs, Tillie, Billy, Gerrard, and Might, on a chilly January evening. David takes his beloved Rottweilers for nocturnal walks since his neighbors believe Rottweilers are vicious. So it was around 1 a.m. when they were roaming near Bournside School in Cheltenham.
The canines ran in since the doors to the playing area were open, but they were met with something surprising. An 80-year-old woman lay down by some plants, shivering. The elderly woman was befuddled as to how she had ended herself there.
But, thankfully, these brave critters found her just in time. The dog stayed close to the woman and barked until their owner came. Following that, David requested a rescue, and the woman, who had been exposed to the elements, was taken to the Gloucestershire Royal Medical Facility.
“There’s something over there,” said Jack’s mother, Svetlana Martenovic, sometimes known as Lana, to her uncle. “It was the woman’s dog that started licking her and wouldn’t leave her side until my child and his uncle arrived. It could have been a very different outcome for the girl if my son and brother-in-law hadn’t been walking their dogs at the time. I doubt she would have persevered.”
The 80-year-old woman had slept for more than 15 hours, according to her. The campus was deserted because it was winter vacation, and no one noticed her. Because she was afraid, she didn’t make any noise when the animals found her. Despite this, she later informed David and his nephew that she had gotten off the bus at the wrong stop.
