We assume Patrick Hennesy wanted nothing more than to come home and warm up in bed as quickly as possible after driving home in the cold at 4.30 a.m.
But when he saw two fearful puppies in need of assistance, he didn’t hesitate to intervene.
Hennesy noticed two pit bulls cuddling up together by the side of the road and quickly knew they were injured and in need of assistance.
The man quickly dialed the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and two deputies arrived on the scene shortly thereafter. Blood was scattered over the ground, and the startled and hurt pups were whining gently.
Both pups kissed and rubbed up against the cops as they approached the strays, as if to thank them.
They acted as if they were aware that the officers were there to assist them.
One of the strays was bleeding heavily, and the cops quickly identified the source of the blood spatter on the ground.
The officers deduced that the stray had been hit by a vehicle and did everything they could to stem the bleeding.
While one cop applied gauze and pressure to the stray’s wound, the other called Orange County Animal Services, who asked the officers to stay with the puppies until they arrived.
The cops warmed up the chilly pups by hugging them and doing everything they could to comfort them as they waited for aid.
Despite the fact that they were both chilly and fatigued, they had no intention of abandoning the two puppies in need.
Finally, animal control arrived on the scene and took them into custody.
The two pit dogs had become less fearful as a result of the police officers’ patience and kindness, and once they were taken to the shelter, both pit bulls were nothing but happy, loving, and thankful.
The two puppies, Liberty and Justice, have already brought the shelter workers a lot of joy and happiness, and they are hoping that the gorgeous pair will find their perfect forever family soon.
After they’d settled in at the shelter, the policemen who kept them both safe and secure got to visit them, and we’re pleased to discover that Liberty and Justice are now the happiest pups on the planet.
