After having heard barking for a few days, a South Asian rescue got a complaint about a pup that had been living in an old house.
When rescuers came, they discovered the house had no electricity and had maybe been abandoned for years.
They didn’t think a dog was present because of the house’s appearance until they heard barking. They went down to the basement and discovered a small dog shackled and unable to move or flee.
They immediately let her go and cut the rope around her neck. It had been wrapped over her neck so tightly that it had become embedded in her skin, leaving her with raw, inflamed skin.
They brought her to the vet, who treated her wound and prescribed a healthy diet for her.
Aside from the wound on her neck, she was given a clean bill of health and was free to resume her normal life.
Whoever tied up and abandoned this poor pup in that forlorn home is unknown, but the main thing is that she is now safe and will never have to worry about being abandoned again!
