In an attempt to save the baby’s life, the dog repeatedly butts his head on the door…

Henry, an 8-year-old Boston Terrier, is credited with saving the life of his owners’ 9-month-old child.

Kelly and Jeff Dowling of Glastonbury, Connecticut, stated their dog was acting strangely one Monday night. It included barging into their daughter’s nursery several times to wake the baby.

According to the Dowlings, Henry would continue to headbutt the door open and simply stand in the middle of the room, which was unusual for the dog. Henry would barge back into the room as soon as the owners’ backs were turned every time they shooed him out.

It turned out that the baby had a terrible cold, and Henry had noticed that her symptoms were getting worse.

“She wasn’t able to clear her airway.” She began to turn bluish and stiff. Kelly Dowling told ABC 7 that she “couldn’t get any breath, couldn’t get any oxygen.”

The couple quickly took their baby girl to the hospital, where physicians were able to clear her airway and safely return her to her family that same night.

The 9-month-old is currently recovering from a severe cold, according to physicians. The Dowlings are grateful for their hero puppy, Henry, and have decided to indulge him even more than before.

Henry enjoys watching wolf films, eating watermelon, and cuddling with his family when he is not rescuing lives.
