Liesl purchased Picasso in 2017 after his stock d.i.e.d unexpectedly and supported Newt in 2021, and the two came thick and fast. Picasso, five, was born with a crooked conk, while Newt, one, was born with no upper jaw when his mother smelt him. Despite the daily challenges posed by their scars and Newt’s medical ventures, the couple today enjoys a very happy life.
We observe their friendship through a series of photographs depicting their daily activities, such as eating, playing together, going for walks, and picking berries. “It was a miracle that Picasso survived being energized,” Liesl continued, “since it would have been extremely delicate for him to suckle from his mother.”
” Newt has faced a number of new challenges, the majority of which were unrelated to his loss of an upper jaw. Both Picasso and Newt enjoy interacting with others, so when they’re out in public, they’re gregarious, seek attention, and enjoy speaking with strangers.”
“The majority of people do a double-take and stare at the dogs for a long time, trying to make sense of what they’re seeing.” They’re not in; they’ve become accustomed to their physical constraints and can get almost anything they want. Newt has been Picasso’s favorite since the beginning because he adores playing and scuffling and is a joy to be around. Their friendship became stronger as Newt grew older. I love Picasso and Newt with all my heart; they’re both fantastic, joyful, intelligent, and hilarious dogs.”
