When individuals abandon their dogs or cats in a hopeless situation, it is tragic. They even put the dog or cat outside in a tiny box.
Fortunately, there are still those who genuinely care about others and are always willing to provide a helping hand to those in need.
This anecdote exemplifies the fact that there are still good individuals and humanity in the world. A New Jersey police officer rescued a pit bull puppy that was just 14 weeks old.
He returned miles after rescuing the adorable puppy to ensure that the dog was safe and sound. Because the dog’s owner did not arrive and the dog did not have a microchip, he chose to adopt the abandoned puppy.
Matthew O’Hanlon, a police officer, and his colleagues rescued the dog that had been abandoned in the industrial area. The police officer transported the pit bull to an animal shelter because it had wounds.
The man returned after leaving the dog at the shelter and adopted it. The dog was well looked after and cared for.
The cop and his fiance named the dog Thor because they were both Marvel fans.
Thankfully, the puppy has found a permanent home where he is loved and cared for.
