We haven’t heard anything about Quasimodo the dog in a while, so we thought we’d update you on his whereabouts.
This one-of-a-kind puppy is one of only 15 around the world… His mother, on the other hand, would undoubtedly remark that no one else compares to him.
Short spine syndrome is a rare condition that affects this cute fur baby. “He’s a pure German Shepherd… but shorter,” his mother explains.
In Kentucky, he was discovered as a stray dog. Quasi was terrified of people and extremely bashful. But it wasn’t until he met Rachel, a kind human, that his true self emerged.
He’s having a good time these days, playing in the snow, interacting with his buddies, and chasing girl dogs (apparently, he’s a ladies’ man!).
Quasimodo receives all of his care and attention from his owner, who started Secondhand Hounds, a non-profit that saves hundreds of animals each year.
He needs to do things differently than other dogs, such as eat his food without leaning down, but he’s now a joyful, carefree doggie with followers all across the world…. including us!
