Layla had been in a lot of discomforts during her first week at Beaumont Animal Care. Rachel Barron, a veterinarian tech, described her as “shy and stressed.” Rachel was able to settle Layla by chatting to her in baby talk.
Rachel was inspired by Layla’s enormous smile to show the world how being kind to pets makes them feel comfortable and joyful. When Layla heard that voice, her tail began to wag!
Layla’s video became viral as a result, and many individuals expressed interest in adopting her. Fortunately, she was adopted by a lady and her husband who had previously rescued dogs and cats.
Layla was quickly befriended by Lady, one of Nicole Toney’s dogs who had given birth before being rescued. Lady was reminded of her children when she saw Layla.
