Partners Bruce and Ona Dunlap live in the state of Arkansas in the United States. They have a lot of pets at home, including four cats and two dogs.
An irate neighbor knocked on the Dunlaps’ door one morning as they were just waking up.
She informed them that a tornado was on its way to their town.
Bruce and Ona’s power just went out in the evening, so they had no idea what was going on.
Due to a lack of time to prepare for the evacuation, the couple could only assist a crippled neighbor in getting down to the shelter.
They didn’t have enough time to locate all of their pets. The Dalneps went down to the basement, where they were prepared to wait out the storm, sobbing that they had to leave one cat and one dog.
After some time had passed, Bruce and Ona decided to see if the tornado had passed.
The really intense gusts of wind subsided. However, the roof of the spouses’ house was blown off as a result of it.
Outbuildings suffered extensive damage as well. The Dalneps, on the other hand, was unconcerned.
They began to call the dog and cat who were still upstairs.
The pets had a slim chance of surviving. What excitement the spouses had when the hairy dog face appeared from the ruins a few minutes later!
Dalneps ran over to her and hugged her. With tears in their eyes, Bruce and Ona apologized to their beloved for abandoning her in the middle of the element.
She didn’t do anything but lick them.
The kitty also reappeared after a few moments. Fortunately, all of the pets were unharmed.
