They’re known as a man’s best friend, but they’re much more. Dogs have performed heroic acts several times, and they frequently put their lives on the line to save their humans. An unloved dog this time saved the life of the guy who had given her so much.
Even though she was a cute puppy, Sadie had a hard time finding a home. Several shelters turned her down due to her “choleric temper,” but the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge in New Jersey eventually took her in. From then, it didn’t take long for Sadie to find her forever home, and the sun began to shine on her neighborhood once more.
When Brian Myers first spotted Sadie, it was love at first sight, and he adopted her without hesitation. He knew he was going to aid someone in need, but he had no idea the dog he had just adopted would save his life in the first place.
“I figured, why not give this dog a chance? She’s lovely, and I think I can work through her concerns,” Brian explained. “She simply leaped on me and started kissing my face, knocking my glasses and mask off, and all I could think was, ‘I adore this dog.'”
Despite her past and all that had kept her off adoption lists, Sadie and Brian were getting along swimmingly, and one night, the devoted dog surprised her human with an astonishing gift. By ensuring his survival. Brian suffered a stroke and would not be alive today if it hadn’t been for his dog.
Brian told CBS News, “I was incredibly lucky to have her the night I had the stroke.” “I was getting out of bed, and as soon as I got up here, I fell flat on my face.” My cellphone was also nearby. That’s when I grabbed her collar and she yanked me out of this tight spot. She had never been taught as a service dog or anything, as far as I knew.”
