Stella, the homeless dog, was substantially pregnant when she was found sobbing and begging for food on Texas’s back roads.
He forlorn doggy was living beneath buses for months and was evidently distressed by the question about her future babies’ destiny. When the North Fork Animal Welfare League (NFAWL) employees learned about Stella, they took her in without hesitation.
Stella was taken to a veterinarian for a necessary medical assessment by the NFAWL team. The vet was confident that the excrement would arrive within the next two weeks, based on the size of the puppies on the X-ray. As a result, the personnel made Stella feel at ease in a peaceful and comfortable chamber at the sanctuary. They had no idea she was due to give birth the very next morning!
The sanctum’s sense of protection and security, it turned out, was enough to induce Stella’s stress-free labor. The caregivers kept a close eye on her as she gave birth to eight puppies in a matter of hours. This was the sanctum’s first trash in over 20 years, and it was a reassuring moment for everyone!
The sanctum has appealed to the public for financial assistance in order to better serve the weakened ma and her garbage. Stella will require redundant feed in order to properly raise her puppies, and the cost of vaccinating and spaying/neutering the waste will be costly as well.
