Sergeant Tracy McKithern of the Army Reserve was stationed in Iraq when she came across a malnourished puppy who came to her pleading for love. Tracy adopted the puppy and gave her the name Erby. Tracy’s source of comfort and delight during difficult times became Erby throughout the next few months.
The two eventually became buddies!
Tracy assured Erby that when her deployment was over, she would bring her home. Tracy called “Puppy Rescue Mission,” which arranged a fundraiser to help Erby get to the United States.
Tracy had to depart for another deployment just as Erby was getting ready to move to her new house, despite the kindness of strangers.
Tracey returns after her deployment, eager to see Erby again. Tracy’s last interaction with Erby was seven months ago, and she understands that the small puppy has grown up, but all she wants is for him to recognize her and love her once more.
When Tracy sees Erby as she cautiously walks out of the airport, he goes up to her and lavishes her with kisses and cuddles! Tracy is overjoyed to see Erby’s reaction, and she reciprocates with a warm embrace.
I can’t believe Erby and Tracy have reunited after all these years! Watch their touching airport reunion in the video below!
