Each day, the little dog walks miles alone to visit his dearest buddy’s grave… Read the full story here!

Fulmine and Leonardo resided in the Italian countryside for 7 years.

These were happy and loving years, with both man and dog eager to hug and play.

Leonardo was no longer a child, but Fulmine was a vibrant young woman, and the two of them created a wonderful family.

Their time together had unfortunately come to an end.

Leonard became ill and had to go to the hospital. And his daughter, who lived nearby with her kid, took the dog.

They fell in love with the small terrier right away, but the dog yearned for his true owner and waited for him.

Leonardo, on the other hand, did not return.

“Every time a car drove up to the home, Fulmine would run out into the yard, hoping it was my father,” Sara Sechi recounts.

Her father’s ashes were interred in the local cemetery.

The funeral was attended by the entire family. Fulmine, on the other hand, was not present; the dog was alone at home.

When Sara’s father was laid to rest, the terrier went about the house and yard sniffing for him, as if trying to figure out where he was hiding.

And he discovered it.

The following day, the entire family piled into a car and drove to the cemetery to pay their respects to their father.

Fulmine was once again left at home.

However, when family members lay flowers on Leonard’s grave and sat down to remember him, they realized they were not alone in their grief.

Fulmine had taken a seat close to them!

The dog traveled two miles to pay his respects to a friend who had passed away.

It’s unclear how he figured out where to go because the cemetery was hidden among the farms and meadows.

Perhaps a sensitive nose and a caring heart informed him where to go, where his loved one had vanished.

Maybe he was merely following the family car’s route. Fulmine, on the other hand, was evidently relieved to be reunited with his owner, at least in spirit.

He sat on the grave and returned in a car with Sara.

“I’m not sure how he found her. I’d like to believe it was his love for my father that drew him there. Or perhaps he was guiding him from up high. “It’s one of those things that defies logic,” the woman explains.

This was not, however, Fulmine’s last visit.

Neighbors reported seeing a little dog racing through the fields towards the cemetery or sitting at the grave in the weeks that followed.

Leonardo’s daughter says the dog pays daily visits to his late owner.

His heart is as heavy with grief as Sara’s, and it’s a good thing they have one other to help them get through it.
