This female dog had a large tummy full of fluid when she was discovered. She was sharing a room with it on the street. She was discovered and taken to the RRSA animal sanctuary by a compassionate woman.
Sushi was the moniker given to her by the shelter personnel. Her appearance astounded rescuers the first time they saw her.
Sushi’s abdomen was enlarging and expanding, and it was encroaching on her torso.
Sushi could no longer walk, but she could eat and drink, and she continued to grow larger and larger.
The medical team did an excellent job, and they were able to minimize edema by extracting fluids.
