Sully, a Golden Retriever, accompanied his owner everywhere he went.
They hiked all of the trails in Yoho National Park and the Kananaskis Valley together.
Long walks, however, are no longer possible for the dog, who is now 14 years old.
Sully has also recently been diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis, which makes it more difficult for him to breathe.
The retriever’s owner, a Canadian called Donny Marchuk, does not want his companion to live out his days in a cage, especially since Sully insists on accompanying him whenever a man goes outside.
Donny devised unique transportation for the dog so that he could continue to accompany him on his journeys.
He started with a standard baby carriage and added ski and snowshoe fasteners to it.
The pup and the owner can now move on snow and ice, negotiate slopes, and ride across tough terrain together.
And, according to Donny, there isn’t a happier dog on the planet right now.
Passers-by always stop to ask the Canadian several questions or pet Sully when they see a makeshift stroller.
He enjoys being the center of attention.
The stroller, according to Donny, is the least he could do to repay the dog for his years of devotion and love.
“Like most individuals, I’ve had my ups and downs. And he was always there for me, and just by communicating with me, he helped me get over them,” the man added.
The Canadians intend to take even more cooperative travels in the future.
He plans to keep pushing Sully’s wheelchair as long as he can, as long as it gives him joy.
