Malinda Herman’s life was flipped upside down 20 years ago when she was involved in an automobile accident. Her nerves were destroyed, and the left side of her face was paralyzed as a result of the impact. Malinda was so devastated that it took her two years to get the courage to show her damaged face to anyone.
Malinda didn’t give up hope and began vocal exercises to regain facial movement. For Malinda, this was a life-changing experience, as she found her love for singing, which helped her get through the difficult times.
She soon began singing to her pets as well. Malinda’s perseverance and the soothing presence of her animals have helped her heal herself by about 75% throughout the years! Malinda’s life has taken a totally different turn now that she is 70 years old.
Malinda is no longer regarded as the paralyzed lady, but rather as the “hipster grandma” who performs renditions of classic classics alongside her cute Chihuahua, Jiw Jam. Jiw Jam’s calming responses to her grandma’s melodies leave everyone gasping in wonder, while her raw voice rips at people’s hearts! We wish Malinda and Jiw Jam a long and pleasant singing career!
