This rescued dog becomes a great officer K9! Here is how…

A lot of things have been said and written about the stereotypes associated with pit bulls, and it appears that an increasing number of people are realizing that canine behavior has less to do with genetic inheritance and more to do with how the dog was raised by his owner.

However, there is still a long way to go before we can change how the majority of people view Pit Bulls. Many people continue to believe that these dogs are naturally aggressive. That is why, even with children, they are wary of being in close quarters. As a result, many people cross the street when they see a Pit Bull approaching.

That is why more stories like this are required. The story has the power to dispel stereotypes, emphasizing that judging a book by its cover or assuming something is true just because it has been mentioned many times is never appropriate.

The protagonist of this inspirational story is Kiah, New York State’s first pit bull police officer. His previous owner abandoned him, along with many other dogs, in a grocery store parking lot. He was simply abandoned by his owner as if he were a non-essential item.

Kiah was fortunate in that he was able to turn his life around by completing a program to train the rescued Pit Bull to become a police K9. These incredible workouts are fantastic since they can be used for a variety of things.

They’re especially good at getting more dogs off the streets and giving them a good existence. Second, they contribute to making the streets safer by giving more eyes (and feet) to keep people safe in the community. Pit bulls, like Leonard, Ohio’s first pit bull police officer, have become more common at the K9 in recent years.
