While we’ve grown accustomed to dogs performing bizarre tasks, they appear to never cease to astonish. And, if you think that some breeds are predisposed to developing powerful canine behavior, think again. Because this German Shepherd’s peculiar habit demonstrates that he is far from a puppy.
In fact, Kai is convinced that he is a bird. Even if he isn’t covered in feathers, his actions are what send him flying. Kai spends his days sitting atop the birdbath, something he enjoys doing all day. And, believe it or not, his family did have a sizable pool.
Kai had been obsessed with the birdbath since he was a puppy, climbing it with his front paws and drinking water from it. Later, when he was healthy and large enough, the amusing pup simply leaped on it, and he now refuses to leave his preferred resting area.
“We had a pool in the backyard, but he’d always walk to the birdbath for a drink because it was closer,” the dog’s mother, Ashley Shell, told The Dodo. “I started recording him since he started jumping into it to get a drink, and the balance impressed me.”
Kai, while being an extremely bright canine, is unable to reveal his dark side. “He’s incredibly bright, and he’s always finding things out.” “But he also has a funny side and enjoys playing,” his mother explained. Kai prefers the companionship of his feathered companions to that of one of his own kind. And one of his favorite things to do is to play with his little duckling companions.
