Losing one’s sense of meaning or desire to live has to be among the most dreadful experiences for any living person, among all the crippling illnesses and disasters.
Dora, the dog was terrified when she was first discovered by the “Howl Of A Dog” rescuers. Dora had been rescued from the streets and was now living in a public pound, but her lack of zeal and somber manner concerned me.
Nobody knew what Dora’s life was like before, but she was uninterested in playing games or making friends. Her eyes were always concerned as if she had forgotten what life was all about, and her hunchback stance was equally unsettling. She walked with her head down low in shame, her tail tucked between her knees, and her spine hunched.
Dora was rescued by Howl Of A Dog and taken to their shelter, where she was discovered to be underweight and suffering from a variety of skin disorders. The workers, on the other hand, struggled to cope with her tremendous despair and hopelessness. She was so broken that every time a worker petted her, she would fall apart like a house of cards.
Despite Dora’s despondent demeanor, the personnel persisted in making loving gestures to tell her that she was being saved and looked after. She finally allowed her icy heart to open to the faint notion that things were getting better after two weeks. Her doggie playdates, field trips, and car journeys turned into therapy sessions that transformed her outlook on life!
In this film, Dora’s metamorphosis from a shut-down dog to a life-loving dog is shown. Watching her regain her ability to dream is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever witnessed. Dora’s long-held dream of being adopted came true when she was adopted by an English family! Her Labrador sibling guards her like a big brother, and her parents love her. We are ecstatic for this lovely young lady!
