Pumpkin the raccoon was approximately a month old when Rosie Kemp discovered her in her Nassau, Bahamas backyard. She was gravely harmed when the little objects fell out of a tree. Her mother, on the other hand, was nowhere to be found. But, as bighearted as he was, Rosie couldn’t let the tiny raccoon perish outside, so she took her inside and cared for her.
Pumpkin is now, years later, not only in fantastic shape and healthy, but she’s also a growing star on the Internet. On Instagram alone, she and her two canine pals have over 1.3 million followers. Here’s what happened to her!
When Rosie discovered the young raccoon, her fate appeared to be sealed. The compassionate woman, on the other hand, was determined to save her life. She took care of the raccoon’s injury at first. After she fell out of the three, one of her back legs was shattered. Then Rosie and her daughter Laura took turns feeding the baby by hand around the clock. They even kept her warm in the same way her mother did.
Laura told The Dodo, “Raising her was (still is) a full-time work.” “They are incredibly bright, well-aware, and I believe they can even convey emotions.”
Pumpkin made a full recovery after a few weeks of hard work by the two women. They chose to introduce her to their two rescue dogs at that time. Surprisingly, the puppies and orphaned raccoons have formed an instant bond. The two dogs treated their younger sister as if she were one of their own kind. They quickly formed an unbreakable bond.
“She immediately bonded with us and our 2 rescue dogs,” the woman claimed, “and follows me and our two dogs everywhere we go.” “Pumpkin thinks of the dogs as her mothers!” She respects them when they’ve had their fill of roughhousing, and she enjoys cuddling up to them when she’s sleepy! She’s a sassy little thing, but we adore her.”
