In some cases, real-life animal relationships are even more fascinating than those depicted in novels and cartoons.

The bond between Tinni, a dog, and Sniffer, a wild fox, is living proof of this.

Tinni currently resides in Norway with her owner, photographer Torgeir Berge, who is responsible for these incredible photographs.

Sniffer and Tinni don’t seem to realize they’re from different species since they frolic and play together as if they’ve known each other their entire lives.

Berge became a critic of the fur industry and animal farms after seeing Tinni and Sniffer’s bond. Foxes are kept in tiny cages before being murdered for their pelts.

“In terms of behavior and personality, foxes are remarkably similar to dogs. And it hurts me to think about the millions of foxes like Sniffer that have spent their entire lives in cages,” Berge writes on Facebook.

Sniffer (and Tinni) are lucky in that they have somewhere to play, thus they spend all of their time together, roaming around the woods near Berge’s house.

The fox and the dog don’t appear to worry that they are continuously being watched by someone with a camera.

For them, the most important thing is to enjoy each other’s company.
