Harvey, a sweet mutt, was given to Faithful Friends Animal Society because his owners were divorcing and couldn’t care for him any longer. Since then, he has waited patiently for someone to adopt him.
Harvey resolved to prove to the world that he is a good guy and hero after four years of silence.
Harvey began to bark at a storm drain while out for a walk with one of the shelter’s dogs handlers. They approached the sewer gently to get a better look and discovered a trapped kitten. The cat department of the shelter rushed on the scene to assist in the rescue of the kitten but soon found there were more imprisoned kittens.
“With regular check-ins, the team was finally triumphant,” the shelter said in a Facebook post. We were able to find 2 more kittens two weeks after the first one was spotted and rescue them as well!”
Beta, Brie, and Brewster were the names given to the three ginger kittens. Harvey’s senses and nose were just in time, for it rained for days after the kittens were rescued. All three have been put in loving foster homes and will be adopted soon.
Harvey, on the other hand, is still on the lookout for his forever home. This sweet puppy enjoys playing ball and only requires someone to give him some time to adjust to his new family. The shelter’s Faithful Friends Sanctuary Care Program has taken care of the beautiful boy. A program that helps animals that are more difficult to adopt due to terminal disease, medical conditions, or behavioral issues.
“He’d make a fantastic agility dog, as well as a running or hiking partner.” Harvey would also enjoy watching TV while cuddled up on the couch. Harvey would be best as an only pet, even though he has dog companions his size at the shelter,” the shelter notes. Who could say no to his endearing grin?!
