Former Bait Dog Can’t Lift Her Head Because She’s Depressed… Here is where she ended up…

Hundreds of neglected and very malnourished dogs are chained and left without food or water.

It is no longer a very visible sight when you come across a dog-fighting enterprise. Hundreds of neglected and very malnourished puppies are chained and left without food or water.

These traumatic events might leave a dog scarred for life, while others yearn for human attention and affection.

In August, SPCA of Texas rescuers discovered fourteen puppies in a suspected dog-fighting ring in a location in Springs, Texas. When Madeline Yeaman arrived on the scene, all of the puppies were leaping and attempting to get her attention. However, one puppy stands out among the others.

That’s when they began to notice her. She used to be on the verge of death, emaciated and dehydrated. She wore a large collar around her neck that used to be attached to a thick chain that was tethered to an old car axle. She didn’t have anywhere to hide from the scorching Texas sun.

She used to be in such bad shape that she was too vulnerable to even move. It took a long time to persuade her to up since all she wanted to do was sit there with her head down. This sick puppy was evaluated by the veterinarian, who discovered that she had “almost no blood running through her veins.”

They took her in straight away to begin her treatment, and she was given the name Gwen Stefani. They used to rinse off her cracked, wounded, flea-infested skin as their first issue. Blood transfusions, as well as water and nourishment, were provided to her at one point.

Gwen began raising her head up higher and higher as the days passed until she felt like a dog again. Gwen was no longer torpid and despairing, according to the SPCA. “With her bouncy body, wagging tail, and typical pit bull smile, she greets everyone.”

Her spirit began to shine as her body healed, and she began to emerge from her shell. She now enjoys going on walks outside and being lavished with love and attention, all of which most puppies take for granted.

“She’s definitely not lacking anything anymore,” Yeaman told The Dodo. “She’s become used to people adoring her all day.” She is allowed to play outside all day. It’s amazing what a change in environment, care, and human interaction can accomplish for a dog’s perception of the world.”

Gwen is a very happy puppy who has been adopted into a loving home!
