A brave dog claims sole responsibility for saving his infant sister’s life. The mother described how the quick-thinking dog barged into her daughter’s room and alerted her that she had stopped breathing. The mom and her husband went to the hospital right away, arriving just in time to save the baby’s life!
Kelly Andrew, a Boston-based writer, described in a series of now-viral tweets how the family’s dog Henry saved her daughter. The mother revealed that her child was sick, and she initially assumed it was only a cold, but things turned out to be much worse. But, thankfully, Henry was on there to save the day!
The woman told Good Morning America, “He was head-butting the door open and coming into her room and standing there.” “Every time I shooed him out, he’d come back in… She couldn’t get any oxygen, let alone air.”
The worried dog continued entering the nursery room with the newborn, but Kelly has taken him out every time as he was waking up the infant. But she had no notion that the perceptive dog sensed something was wrong with his human sibling. So he kept coming into the room and butting the door with his head until the mother discovered her daughter wasn’t breathing.
“The dog kept breaking into the nursery and waking the baby last night.” “She’s been unwell, and I’d had enough of him,” the mother said on Twitter. “Until she ceased to breathe.” We stayed in the hospital for the night. If he hadn’t woken her, I’m not sure what would have occurred. “Dogs aren’t something we deserve.”
Thankfully, the two parents arrived at the hospital just in time, and after a brief stay, they were able to return home with their newborn girl fully recovered.
Kelly wrote, “Thank you for all the well wishes, everyone.” “The baby is much better today, and we’re back at home with Henry, who heroically held down the fort all night despite his fear of the dark.”
