This young couple in England had no clue how their dog would react when they had to bring their newborn daughter home. Nonetheless, weeks before the event, they managed to train Tommy – a lovely Doberman Pinscher – by scattering baby items about the house. The dog would have become accustomed to her fragrance in this manner. But, as soon as the opportunity arose, Tommy demonstrated to his family why he is known as a gentle giant!
The parents explained, “We let him sniff her worn clothes and instructed him to be nice.” “After that, we brought in Macie, who was naturally curious and gentle.”
Tommy’s instincts kicked at the moment he saw Macie, his younger sister, and he became preoccupied with protecting the infant!
Nick told THE DODO, “He was always so gentle and sensitive – it must be a natural inclination.” “It seemed as though he accepted her right away as if he had always wanted to be close to her but had never touched her.”
Because Tommy was always polite with everyone, Nick Elliott and his wife had no reservations about Tommy’s reaction when he met his sister. Even they couldn’t predict Tommy’s reaction, and he astonished them all!
Macie was wailing in her baby chair while her mother prepared her bottle in the kitchen. As a result, Tommy, who was alone in the room with his sister, decided to take matters into his own hands.
He simply took his favorite toy, a teddy bear, and handed it to his grieving sister in the hopes that it would bring her solace. The baby monitor captured the wonderful moment, and the parents couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw it.
“After my wife found the stuffed toy in her bag, we went back to the camera and saw what he had done,” the father explained. “His little tail wag just sealed the deal!”
