After attempting to neuter him on their own, a baby blue pitbull was discovered in a Detroit park. When the neutering procedure went wrong, they abandoned the sad dog.
Thankfully, Detroit Dog Rescue was located and rescued him, and he was treated as soon as possible. The puppy was in great pain, and his reproductive organs were spilling out of a hole in his abdomen. Worse, veterinarians suspect the puppy was abused and thrown from a vehicle before he was discovered.
After being treated for his injuries at Oakland Veterinary, the dog, now named Chandler, was doing wonderfully five weeks later. He’s been referred to their referral services since then, and he’s even found a permanent home!
Chandler is being adopted by a couple in Hazel Park at the age of 3 months. They were both volunteers with Detroit Dog Rescue and a perfect match for the puppy. Chandler will also have a new big dog sister with whom to play!
Chandler is doing well and should have a long and healthy life. He’s just like any other puppy in that he’s highly active and enjoys going for walks. He’s quite active, which is fantastic because his new parents are also very active and enjoy being outside.
