Andrea Hijar has a 76-year-old grandmother and a 76-year-old spouse.
They’ve had dogs their entire lives. She couldn’t decide on a new pet for a long time after the old one died.
The woman suddenly found it impossible to open her heart to a new furry companion when she eventually decided to do so.
Andrea’s Grandma was turned down by each shelter she applied to; they stated she was too elderly, that she wouldn’t be able to adequately care for a young puppy, and that the dog would outlive her.
“It irritated me.” “They’re a very nice couple, but they were denied something they were really looking forward to,” the granddaughter recalls.
Grandma was heartbroken. She struggled to accept the notion that she would never have another dog in her life.
Andrea persisted in her hunt, and it’s a good thing she didn’t give up since her efforts were rewarded with success.
She discovered a puppy!
Andrea was scrolling through her social media page when she came across a post from a man looking for a caring home for his puppy.

Andrea’s grandfather and father went in search of a new family member.
Princess was given a new home after they settled on a name for the puppy.
The elderly lady squealed with delight as if she were a kid. Princess pushed her little muzzle into Grandmother’s chest, full of tenderness, while Grandmother massaged her.
She seemed to have found her human companion as well.
“Her reply moved me greatly,” Hijar added. “Seeing her so happy and full of joy was quite emotional.”
Although some feared Andrea’s grandparents’ age would preclude them from being perfect puppy parents, she believes Princess could not have a more loving family.
While older people may require greater assistance in the future, she believes that age alone should not be a basis for rejection. Princess is now more than simply a canine for the grandparents; she is a family member…
