A local resident called the Moultrie Colquitt County Humane Society, claiming that a strange-looking dog had strayed into his yard and was begging for rescue. Officers were startled to see that the dog had a Pit Bull’s head on a Dachshund’s body when they went to rescue it. It was the first time they’d ever seen anything like it.
Following the rescue, the shelter established that the sad puppy is a one-year-old Pit Bull-Dachshund cross. Rami, the adorable puppy, was adopted. Seeing a puppy with such a distinctive build went viral right away! Within a few days, this cute boy was inundated with adoption applications!
Because of the high risk of being used for breeding, the shelter decided against adoption and instead chose Rami to be their own ambassador dog. With his shelter humans, Rami is now living like a boss. Despite his Pit Bull heritage, Rami is a weak-willed knucklehead who is terrified of cats and only wants to be cuddled!
We must state unequivocally that we do not promote designer dog breeds in any way. Both the mommy dog and her puppies are at risk when they are exposed to incompatible breeds. In Rami’s case, only one thing we can do is love him and give him the best life we can!
