Ace, a 19-year-old dog who was nearing the end of his life, was given to the Sonoma shelter.
It was also during this period that the California wildfires erupted. As a result, he wound up over 150 miles away at the SPCA, where he had little chance. But Bonnie, his foster mother, saw how vibrant he was and realized she had to get him out of the shelter.
As a result, she offered to take the senior dog into her home until he could find a forever home. Ace gradually became more at ease and began to emerge from his shell over the next three days. He then formed bonds with the house’s other foster pets!
Ace’s adoption applications began to flood in later on. Bonnie was saddened by the thought of how much she would miss him after he was gone. Ace, on the other hand, “failed” as a foster pet as a result of this! Bonnie agreed to adopt him for the rest of his life, and he couldn’t have asked for a finer circumstance.
