When rescuers learned of a puppy in the neighborhood who was unable to move, they acted fast.
Puppy puppies, like human newborns, require comfort, consistent nutrition, and adequate housing. This unfortunate baby was abandoned on the streets with no one to look after him. He was alone and completely unresponsive.
The only thing on the ground was a puppy. There was little evidence that he was alive, despite the fact that he was breathing. There was no indication of life. The beautiful pup was told that his new human pals would do everything they could to look after him.
They loaded him into their vehicle, but he still didn’t have the energy to move. His lovely expressive eyes glanced at the rescuers as if he realized they were going to save him. He didn’t have the energy to fight for his life any longer. It was now up to the rescuers to struggle for his life.
They went to the medical clinic when the dog was safely in their care. He refused to eat and remained unable to move. The vet felt he needed a thorough examination, but first, he needed intravenous therapy. It was time to inspect him for parasites and any other concerns now that he had some fluids on board. The dog had been badly starved, resulting in anemia. This was the source of his weakness…
One of the rescuers was with the puppy during the rescue. Because he was still too weak to sit up, she fed him by syringe every hour. He didn’t like it at first, but with some soft petting and sweet words, he began to eat it. The tiny puppy required all of the calories he could get! The brave little puppy is still in the hospital, but he’s making great strides.
