The cutest ‘letter of recommendation’ for his adoptive pet is written by a 6-year-old… Read some here!

A six-year-old kid from Louisiana wanted to ensure that the dog he and his family had fostered for several months would be adopted by a loving family. So he took matters into his own hands and wrote multiple letters on the puppy’s behalf, simply to let everyone know that she is “the best dog you could ask for!”

Maggie, a beautiful pittie mix, was rescued by volunteers from the North Shore Animal League of America when she was a little puppy. However, because she was far too young to be adopted, the organization decided to place her first with a foster family. This is how the adorable puppy wound up with the Duncan family in Louisiana, which turned out to be the greatest home for a rescue puppy…

Roman and Wyatt, the family’s youngsters, fell in love with Maggie right away. Roman, in particular, became enamored with the magnificent pit bull and did everything he could to make her feel at ease and loved. In any case, the Duncans knew Maggie would eventually be adopted by another family, but they wanted to make sure she was ready when that time came.

Roman was eager to boost Maggie’s chances of adoption when she was old enough to be placed for adoption. So he decided to write a few ‘letters of reference’ to let everyone know how lovely Maggie was. So when the dog arrived in New York for adoption, she brought some photos and several adoring messages with her.

“Dear Maggie,” she writes. Maggie is the best puppy you could possibly want for in New Family,” the 6-year-old wrote. “Here are a few reasons why she is the best dog: she is potty trained, she likes other dogs, she enjoys playing fetch, she enjoys cuddles, and she enjoys being loved…

That is why she is the most amazing dog on the planet. I forgot to mention that she adores children. We adore Maggie, and we hope you do as well. “I adore the people in the church.”

Karla Agostinello, the North Shore Animal League America’s rescue team manager, was impressed by the boy’s loving words. “I was very touched,” she stated in an interview with TODAY. The animals are difficult to load onto the truck. So I get a lot of mail from adults, but not so much from kids. So that’s why it made such an impression on me.”

Maggie was subsequently adopted by a loving family who was equally impacted by Roman’s kind remarks, thanks to his writings. Maggie now has a lifelong home thanks to this kind-hearted little guy. A pleasant environment for her to live in!
