Merrill, a three-year-old pit bull, and Taco, an eight-year-old Chihuahua, met in a shelter.
Their owners drove them both there…
Our heroes have been inseparable since the first time they saw one other.
They can’t be separated for more than a few minutes because they start crying and whining loudly.
As a result, they share an enclosure in the shelter and always sleep in an embrace.
A man came to the shelter several months ago.
He was looking for a true companion, and when he spotted Merrill, he fell in love with her right away.
He had completed all of the necessary papers and was ready to accept her.
Merrill, like Taco, began to whine when she was taken out of the enclosure.
They gazed at each other with very sad expressions on their faces.
Merrill stood still on all four paws, refusing to budge.
Seeing such tremendous affection, the man decided that he would either take two dogs at the same time or not take one at all.
Thankfully, he went with the first option.
As a result, Taco and Merrill shared a home and a common owner.
