Poor dog was dumped at a shelter… Thankfully, the dog with her teddy bear meets…

Ellie, a one-year-old Blue Lacy pet, resided with her family near Dallas, Texas, until she was eventually surrendered to a local sanctuary.

All she could do was clutch her giant teddy bear, which was the only thing she had left in the world.

The family went through all of the hassles of having her vaccines, spay surgery, and a microchip, only to have her euthanized a few months later.

She lost everything she had ever known and also wound up in a loud and frightening sanctuary where people are euthanized for space.

Ellie was terrified and spent almost all of her time cuddling with her teddy bear. But, thankfully, she wouldn’t be staying long.

Jennifer Jessup, a New York City-based independent pet dog rescuer, contacted her brother in Florida, who had been considering adopting a Blue Lacy.

Jennifer looked online and used TAGG Rescue to track down Ellie.

Jennifer’s friend went and picked Ellie up, along with her teddy bear, and took her to a boarding facility, where they cleaned her and made certain her documents were in order.

Ellie was placed in a foster home after one night there until she could be transported to Florida. She was feeling a little better now that she was at home, but she still clung to her teddy bear.

Ellie cuddled in fear as the foster family attempted to photograph her without her teddy bear. When they returned it to her, she received it as if it would never be released again.

Ellie’s new daddy had finally arrived, and it was time for her to meet him. TWD Transportation not only loaded but also drove the lovely lady from Texas to Florida!

Ellie was exhausted from the long flight, but the man planned to spend the day with her, attempting to cheer her up.

She was also very shy, and the voyage was long, so it would take some time for her to come out of her shell.

But one thing is clear: Jennifer is positive that Ellie and her brother have found the perfect house!

After receiving a lot of attention and love from her new owner, the pet has calmed down a lot, and she’s settling in better every day! Her father, on the other hand, adores her…
