The blinded Tao initially came into the news of the world media at the start of this year.
Thousands of people all across the world were interested in the blind golden retriever’s fate.
Mel, Tao’s owner, observed her pet scratching his eyes in February of this year.
He was clearly in excruciating discomfort.
Tao was transported to the veterinarian, who discovered he had glaucoma.
Unfortunately, the procedure was already underway, and the only option was to remove the eyeball.
Glaucoma had “caught” the second eye after 11 months. Tao, too, had lost it.
Mel looked after Tao and never left her pet alone.
But she suddenly had a brilliant idea: she would get Tao a guiding companion. It turned out to be a cute and friendly baby Oko of the same breed.
The couple hasn’t broken up since that day. Oko was given preference over the older friend.
He was always close to Tao, both in the house and on walks.
Tao has over 13,000 Instagram followers. Oko and Tao’s daily lives do not leave anybody indifferent.
Every day brings a fresh post that is both life uplifting and charming.
Mel now assists all animal lovers and informs them about the disease’s early indications.
She also discusses the complexities of the psychological rehabilitation of pets that have lost their sight.
