Bella, a six-week-old beauty, is a sight to behold. She abruptly stopped walking one day.
Her owner took her to the vet without a doubt and told them to euthanize her.
She then simply turned around and walked away.
Fortunately, the vet made the correct decision…
He was perplexed as to why such a little child had suddenly stopped walking.
To figure out what was wrong, he did a battery of tests and contacted Paper Wood, the founder of Hand In Paw Dog Rescue and Assistance Center.
After running all of the proper tests, Paper discovered that Bella was taken from her mother far too soon.
On the one hand, the news was upsetting, but on the other, the cause for the puppy’s inability to walk became evident.
It wasn’t paralysis, as many people assumed at first.
Bella was suffering from hypoglycemia.
The baby had simply been malnourished, and her blood glucose levels had plummeted…
Bella, on the other hand, proved to be a formidable opponent.
The youngster was literally standing on her paws on her own after only 2 hours of treatment.
“Fatigue, loss of appetite, and white gums are three symptoms of hypoglycemia in your pet,” explains Wood.
As a result, individuals acquire pets, fail to properly care for them, and, in the event of disease, are willing to euthanize them on the spot in order to obtain a new one as soon as possible.
Bella was fortunate enough to end up in the hands of a caring veterinarian, whose choice saved her life!
